Become a tutor
Success Path Mentors is currently looking for tutors across Canada to join our team and offer homework assistance sessions to elementary, high school and university students. Although we offer services in all subjects (French, mathematics, English, science, history and more), our tutors have the opportunity to choose the subject(s) they wish to teach.
Your responsibilities as a tutor
● As a tutor at Success Path Mentors, your main tasks will be to;
●Help your students with their homework
●Help your students to catch up on academic delays or to enrich their learning;
●Motivate and guide your students ;
●Plan tutoring sessions;
●Stay you up to date with the training provided by Success Path Mentors.
Work Locations
Our tutoring service is available at home and online, everywhere in Canada !
The benefits at Success Path Mentors
●You’re in charge of your own schedule (weekday evenings and/or weekends);
●Regular or occasional tutoring meetings ;
●Possibility to work directly in your neighbourhood/area;
●Support and Mentoring Circle;
●We offer training to all our tutors, free of charge.
Criteria for the position of specialized tutor
As a tutor, it is also possible to be part of the team of specialized tutors who are guided by a speech therapist. To do this, you must have knowledge of the different types of learning disabilities and be qualified to work with primary and/or secondary school students with learning disabilities.We are looking in particular for university student/graduates with a :
● Bachelor’s degree in psychology*
● Bachelor’s degree in linguistics
● Bachelor’s degree in psychoeducation*
● Bachelor of Primary/Secondary Education*
● Master’s degree in speech therapy
● Baccalaureate/Certificate in Special Education
● Master’s degree in educational psychology
*For these programs, it is important to have already taken linguistics classes.
